Faster charging on the OnePlus 7T even when you are using it
The new OnePlus 7T is coming. Not only have we spotted specifications for the new device, but OnePlus founder and CEO, Pete Lau, already showed the design last week.
We have a little more information about the technology under the hood of the matt blue beast. To be specific: we can tell you everything about the charging speed of the OnePlus 7T.
“We believe that Warp Charge 30T is the best charging technology for everyday use,” Lau told ustechreview. “You can charge the phone up to 23% faster, even when you actively use the device during the charging period.”
Of course, we could not help but conclude that the now five-month-old OnePlus 7 Pro charges quite quickly. Our battery tests showed that the battery is fully charged within one hour and 23 minutes. According to Lau, the OnePlus 7T should easily be covered in terms of time.
“We are not introducing anything just to be the first,” Lau said when we asked why this technology is not already on the OnePlus 7 Pro. “We have taken the time to refine the technology and continue to test it until we have achieved something that we were proud of and that we dared to show our fans.”
OnePlus takes a Different Approach
The magic of the Warp Charge 30 adapter is inside. That also ensures the large size of the device, certainly in comparison with a regular adapter. Because the adapter does most of the work inside, the smartphone stays cool. A cool smartphone also ensures that the battery does not become unnecessarily worse.
Huawei and Samsung are also competitors to take into account. These manufacturers also fully committed in 2019 to improving their existing fast-loading technology. However, OnePlus uses a different fast-loading technology than the rest.
“Our newest Warp Charge delivers 6A on 5V to reach 30W”, Lau revealed. “Compared to other charging technologies that often rely on high voltages, Warp Charge 30T is able to charge quickly without causing overheating. This also gives users the possibility to play games and charge the device at the same time.”
Wireless charging is not fast enough for OnePlus
Although OnePlus wants to continue to improve itself in the field of charging technologies, you should not expect that wireless charging will also be revealed these days.
“Wireless charging is not yet fast enough for us to be able to offer it to our fans,” Lau admitted.
Although Samsung supports 15W wireless fast charging with the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus, the speeds are in the shadow of the wired alternatives.
